Hey, everybody,
if you didn't already know, we loss the big H1 race. We didn't lose by just a bit but very badly. We got last all three preliminary rounds. Rossi big loss really dampened the spirits of the team, after the race Rossi was extremely active that i wonder why we lost. before i come up and tell you some of my reasons on why we lost i want to first commend all my team members for all the effort they have put in for this H1 race.
In alphabetical order
Thank you Ally for coming up with such a fantastic Blog. You were a wonderfully patient when anyone of us shouted," Housten We have a Problem" there were times when the blog didn't work and posting could not be seen. yet you managed to sort everything out. I think this hold true especially for Vitoria who kept asking you how to get this and that. You helped me get my blogskin and was the brave person that picked up the hamster during the race. even when Rossi seemed to be doing badly you didn't let it affect you and spirits were always quite high. Even though Ally didn't do a front line job her efforts definitely were valuable.

Thank You Andrea who despite being sick spent 4 hrs making the track. So what if the track was too short. we managed to make everything all right in the end. your meticulous nature in planning and making the track was indeed impressive. Reading your blog of how you recounted the experience of making the blog really made me realise how much work it can be. to add to that you even took care of Rossi at the same time. another impressive feat. Very Glad that you are well Andrea to be at the race today cause without you really would have lost the better half of our affair. i'm not talking about the race that we lost but rather our team spirit cause we all would have needed you there.

Thank You Kar Mun for coming up with such a superb poster. who would have thought that in that sciencetific brain of yours you would have so much artistic talent. it was indeed a beautiful poster. Your contribution today during the race could not have been done without. the way you gently pat Rossi, consoling him for his lost you inevitably made everyone feel better. so Kar Mun well done on your fantastic poster and team spirit.

Shan qi, sewing is not an easy job and so i thank you for doing it. the way you recounted your experience really made me appreciate the cloak of Rossi. i personally believed he was one of the best dressed there. don't be offended by what Steph said, she is just jealous she can't sew as well. your sacarifice of your clothes will be remembered as well as your poor fingers. Sewing, coming up with a logo is not easy and you did a wonderful job. you should even think of going into design. so wonderful job my friend.

Vanessa, your efforts will not be forgotten. you helped measure the track which was really quite a tedious task i'm sure. you helped Andrea in making it and today you helped set it up. you were a wonderful team player. Vanessa, the way you stepped out to offer help really was wonderful and so i commend you on you r team spirit and effort.

Vitoria, did i save the best for last? how can i not acknowledge the help of our hamster trainer. you someone i know who is scared of hamsters and prior to this occasion did not even touch the hamster your interest in the hamster to make sure that it was in good condition for the race was admirable. the way you took charge of the hamster training schedule and came up with a routine for it to do really showed your commitment and how you have gotten over your fear for hamster. i believe you even said it was cute a couple of times. So you really should be commended on your excellent job.

now to go back to the unpleasant task of going over the day's events.
Firstly, i believe that it was becasue Rossi was not in the frame of mind to run that caused him to lose. if i am correct i believe he wanted to defacecate during the run and hence was not performing as his peak condition unlike the rest.
Secondly, even if he was at his best, he was a relatively old hamster. unlike wine and women that getter better with age. a hamster that is do physical activity is not. he is atleast 3 years old, much older than Crazy Freddie and Chase who are not even a year old. this unfortunate disadvantage made him lose out in the race.
Thirdly, as Mrs T Chew pointed out perhaps our track was to claustrophobic for our Rossi. the intent of keeing the track narrow was to prevent Rossi from turning back. however the cardboard would bend inwards creating a tent like atmosphere that would have hindered Rossi from running. Chase who won had an open air track that was in a V-shape making the base small and outside wide.
Fourthly, maybe it was too noisy and crowded to run. unlike the other tracks our was right on the outside meaning that everybody was standing around it creating a lot noise. this could have distracted our Rossi. Both the winners and 1st runner- up were in the middle lanes meaning that there was less noise and people around him.
Hence maybe it was because of the above stated reasons we lost this race. however we are not disheartened. we are happy for the winner cause we know that winning isn't everthing. it isn't the end point of winning that is in important but the process behind it. we have lost in terms of the race but have won in terms of friendship. Truly a battle can be lost and won.

Kar Mun seems to be doing an excellent job with the poster. can't wait to see it to. i am so glad that she found a sponsor. at least that way we don't have to pay for everything.

Vitoria is getting so strict with Rossi, i almost feel sorry. almost simply because in order to win much discipline and hard work is required. the training however does seem vigorous for a poor hamster. good luck for the last effort towards the big day that is only 2 days away.

Shan Qi's idea of a cloak seems fine. in fact i think the flags is a good idea too. Miss Tan can have one and we all can be 'crazy Rossi fans' together. looking forward to seeing the cloak and have little Rossi try it on. i am sure that it will be perfect.

cannot believe that she is sick and has to take care the hamster and make the circuit as well. i hope she will be alright with all the work. i guess the good news is that the hamster will spend more time with the circuit he will be running on on thurs. more pratice is good for him. i am going to bring the video camera to take the race on thurs. i am sure that what ever i will take will be exciting. especially if we lose and even more so if we win.

Andrea is taking Rossi home today so that she can measure him and test him on the circuit that she is making. i feel so bad that she has to work on her birthday. however in order to make sure that the circuit is a succes a little sacrafice is needed.

i am really proud of the amount of effort all of us are putting in. i am sure with all of us working together victory is guaranteed

Kar Mun idea about using a poster is indeed the better choice. i know that she may not be the most artistic person but her dedication will more than make up for it. besides you need a lot of brain to come up with a good poster that will grab the attention of people. Kar Mun has a lot brain. i think that her tagline is quite good. it kind of reminds of the cheer" don't mess with the best cause the best don't mess. don't fool with the cool as the cool don't fool. don't mess. don't fool. don't mess with the best and were the best. Go ROSSI!!! "

Poor Rossi, he runs all night in the ball. as much as i believe that exercise is important won't the poor animal be claustroprobic in that orange ball the whole night. hopefully for that reason when he is given 5m of open space to run on the thurs he will go weeee.... and run like the wind. but carrots are good for him and am glad that he is eating healthy for the big race. we cannot destroy his health. i mean Dan doesn't even drink soft drinks before her race. so that's good

have you heard about andrea's and vanessa's effort in making the circuit. these girls are so on the ball. they really want the circuit to be the best that it can be. they are even going to take the hamster home to try it out first. what a good precaution to take. i think that they must have had the most productive weekend. more productive than me who actually didn't blog that much( not at all). but knowing that my fellow team- mates are working so hard i will look forward to writing in my blog why we won, or rather how all the other groups are inferior to us.
